Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: This research was conducted to evaluate the factors related to peritonitis in patient using ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Subjects and method: Retrospective study in 316 patients, include 117 cases with peritonitis and 199 cases without peritonitis. Result: The most important related to peritonitis in CAPD patients include: (1) Unchangable risk factor: age >60, CAPD in less than 12 months, live in countryside region, and (2) changable risk factor: hypoalbuminemia (plasma albumin < 3,5 g/dL).
