Abstract

The study was conducted to evaluate the reflex characteristics with stimulating monochromatic light and light combinations. Subjects of the study were 50 radar soldiers between the ages of 18 and 48 divided into 3 groups of 18-28 years (n = 17), 28-38 years (n = 16) and 38-48 years (n = 17). Physiological evaluation device UPFT1/30 (Russian Federation) was used to perform simple visual motor reflex test with green light and complex motor movement reflex with combination of 3 colors: red, green, and yellow for evaluating average reflection time, total reflection time, minimum/maximum reflection time, central nervous system activation, stability of visual reflexes. The results showed that group 1 had the highest reaction time and central nervous system activation. The average reflection time with monochromatic light in all 3 groups is above average, the reflection time with the color light combination of 3 groups below the average according to the standard of the device. The accuracy of the reaction of all 3 groups is high and stable over time. The stability of reflexes was increased in group 2 and decreased in the two other groups.
