Abstract

Objective: Deploy the model of uterine hemorrhage on Swiss mice. Methods: Increasing progesterone in mice by causing a pseudopregnant, intrauterine injection of sesame oil at 4th day of pseudopregnant, then with or without subcutaneous mifepristone. The drop of progesterone led to breakdown of endometrial tissue that causes haemorrhage. Assess the level of uterine hemorrhage, blood progesterone levels and uterine histology in groups, at many times of study. Results: In groups without mifepristone injection, mice blood progesterone was elevated on the 6th day of the pseudopregnant, then rapidly decreased to approximately normal physiological level on day 9; uterine hemorrhage begins from the 6th day, strongest on the 9th day of of the pseudopregnant process and then gradually decreases. In the mifepristone injection group (on the sixth day), immediately on the 7th day had a lot of uterine hemorrhage, but then rapidly reduced, almost to normal in the following days. Conclusion: Successful deployment of the model of uterine haemorrhage in Swiss mice. The model of uterine hemorrhage without mifepristone has a long duration of haemorrhage, which is suitable for the study of the effect of the drug.
