Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effect on respiratory rate, blood gas indices, heart rate, and blood pressure of dogs when testing the regeneration box of PDA.VN personal breathing device for 14 days. Subjects and methods: Dogs were kept in a fixed cage, with their protruding head covered by a specially designed hood for the test. The regeneration box is fitted with the hood and operates similarly to the PDA.VN personal breathing device. Dogs were tested daily for 14 days, 60 minutes each day. Assess respiratory rate, blood gas indices, heart rate, and blood pressure at the time points before, during, and after the test on days N1, N7 and N14. Results: The dog's respiratory rate, blood gas indices, heart rate, and blood pressure did not change significantly when compared before, during, and after the test on each day as well as when compared between the test days. Conclusion: The regeneration box worked well to help the dog breathe normally, and had no effect on respiratory rate, blood gas indices, heart rate, and blood pressure when tested continuously for 14 days.
