Abstract

Objective: Describe characteristics of electrocardiogram (ECG) on patients with midseptal-right accessory pathways in typical Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome at Vietnam Heart Institute. Materials and Methods: The surface ECG parameters on 10 patients were compared with the localization of accessory pathways identified by radio frequency (RF) treatment at Vietnam Heart Institute. Results: The surface ECG parameters in typical WPW syndrome closely related to localization of accessory pathways during cardiac electrophysiological testing and can be used to predict the localization of midseptal accessory pathways by negative delta wave in V1, the transition of the QRS complex at V1, V2. The negative QRS complex and special QRS morphology was “Qrs pattern” (Qrs/qRs/qrS, ...) in at least 1/3 posterior leads (DII, DIII, aVF) of the common in the midseptal accessory pathways
