CARDIOVASCULAR RECOVERY OF ADVANCED BADMINTON ATHLETES AFTER APPLYING SUBMAXIMUM WORKLOAD

Abstract
Objective: determine the changes of heart and blood pressure of advanced badminton athletes after sbumaximal workload exercise. Methods: include 20 advanced badminton athletes, age 22-24, measure the heart and blood pressure pre-exercise, exercising and post-exercise. Results: in exercising, the heart rate was increased from 69,15 ± 6,20 up 155,54 ± 14,78 bpm, maximal blood pressure was increased from 113,51 ± 7,65 up 137,55 ± 13,57 mmHg (p<0,05). The minimal blood pressure was hardly changed. At 10 minutes after performing workload, the heart rate was decreased to 78,39 ± 7,53 bpm (was recovered 89,3%), maximal blood pressure was down 115,64 ± 10,77 mmHg (was recovered 91,14%) (compared to exercising value, p <0,05). The recovering values was approximate to normal values (p>0,05). Conclusion: the cardiovascular functions of advanced badminton athletes recovered fast after performing the submaximal workload. At 10 minutes after exercising, all indexes was recovered to normal values.
