EFFECTS OF EXERCISE TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ART ON THE NERVOUS MOTOR FUNCTION AND RESPIRATORY VENTILATION FUNCTION IN THE ELDERLY

Abstract
The objective of the study was to understand the effects of exercise and physical training traditional martial art on nervous motor function and pulmonary ventilation function on 100 elder practitioners (36 male, 64 female).
The research results showed that after 6 months practicing martial traditional art, there was a significant improvement in nervous motor and respiratory function – such as decreasing respiratory rate; increasing vital capacity and muscle tone, reducing hand tremor, improving joint angle memory, raising grip strength; the difference of the index at the time before and after 6-month training period was statistically significant with $p < 0,05$
