Abstract

Study of some biological characteristics of Wei Zhong (UB40) on 60
healthy people (30 male, 30 female) aged 19-40, the results showed that: - Wei Zhong
(UB40) point is located midpoint of the transverse crease of the popliteal fossa. There is not
a close correlation between the area of Wei Zhong acupuncture point and the area of the
body's skin with a correlation coefficient 0.19 ÷ 0,25. - Wei Zhong (UB40) has an area of
15,31 ± 1,31 mm2, the temperature of the skin is 31,82 ± 0,27°C, current intensity is 112,59
± 7,42 μA. There is no significant difference of Wei Zhong intensity, area, temperature of
Wei Zhong is shown in male and female, the left side and the right side (p > 0,05). There is a
significant difference of current intensity, temperature between the Wei Zhong point and
neighbouring regions (p < 0,05).
