RESEARCH SOME CARDIOVASCULAR INDICATORS OF VIETNAMESE MILITARY PILOTS AT STIMULATED HEIGHT OF 5000M

Abstract

Objective: determinating the cardiovascular indexes of Vietnam military pilots at hypoxia condition of 5000 m. Methods: descriptive cross-sectional study, observation of cardiovascular physiological indicators including: pulse rate, saturation of peripheral oxygen (SpO2), systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure among 97 male military pilots. Results: Pulse rate at rest was 72,24 8,76 rpm. Pulse rate of pilots at 5000m height was higher than that at rest,
statistical significance (p<0,01); there was no difference in pulse rate at right after experiment compared to before experiment(p<0,01). Systolic blood pressure at rest was 124,1 ± 9,58 mmHg. At 5000m height, it increased at 1st minute: 132,95 ± 10,29 (mmHg) and decreased from 15th minute (p< 0,01). Systolic blood pressure after experiment was lower than that before experiment (p< 0,01). Diastolic blood pressure at rest was 80,75 ± 7,63 mmHg. At 5000m
height, it increased at 1st minute: 132,95 ± 10,29 (mmHg) and decreased from 15th minute (p< 0,01). Diastolic blood pressure after experiment was lower than that before experiment (p<0,01). Average blood pressure at rest was 95,2 ± 7,5 (mmHg). At 5000m height, it increased at 1st minute: 132,95 ± 10,29 (mmHg) and decreased from 15th minute (p< 0,01). Average blood pressure after experiment was lower than that before experiment (p<0,01). Sp02 at rest
was 98,67 ± 0,55 (%). At 5000m height, SpO₂ dropped gradually and maintained from 10th minute (p< 0,01, compared to it before experiment). There was no difference in SpO2 between at before and right after experiment (p>0,05). Conclusion: There are changes of cardiovascular index at stimulated height of 5000m in Vietnam military pilots.
