EVALUATING THE ABILITY TO INHIBIT CANCER CELL LINES HEP3B AND MCF7 OF PRODIGIOSIN IN VITRO
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: evaluating the inhibiting activity of prodigiosin (PG) isolated and purified from bacterial culture in vitro on the human liver cancer cells (Hep3B) and human breast cancer cells (MCF7) in Vietnam. Methods: prospective study, assessing the death cell condition, living cell ability and IC50 dose on two human cancer cell lines. The cancer cell culture, OD measure were used. Results and conclusion: PG have ability of inhibiting cancer cell on Hep3B and MCF7 cell lines at concentration of 6-10 μl/ml, changed cell morphology and caused death cell. IC50 dose on Hep3B cells was 5.5 and the IC50 value on the MCF7 cells was 6.53 μl/ml
