Abstract

This study is conducted to assess the reliability and validity of the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) in survey of psychological impact of COVID-19 pandemic to medical students. Subjects: 286 medical students at Vietnam Military Medical University in March 2020. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Results: The Cronbach’s alpha of factor 1 and factor 2 was 0.800 and 0.651, respectively. The general alpha was 0,762. All questions in PSS-10 Test had the loading factors which were over 0.5. The extraction sum of the two factors was 50.75% and highly discriminatory and convergent. Conclusion: This study confirmed a two-factor model of the PSS-10 in Vietnamese medical students, and it had good internal consistency and validity.
