Abstract

Objectives: Describing the changes on some haematological parameters of recruitment divers in the fist time of exposing hyperbaric endurance test. Methods: a prospective study on 29 male healthy youths exposing hyperbaric endurance test for the first time, the haematological parameters collected, analysed, and compared among times of pre-test, immediately post-test, and post-1h-test with hyperbaric environment. Results: The red blood cells (RBC), the concentration of hemoglobin (Hb), MCH, MCHC, the count of platelets (PLT) all decreased at the immediately post-test and partially recovered at the post-1h-test. MCV of the immediately post-test increased, post-1h-test, the MCV had a slight decrease, but it was still significantly higher than the pre-test one. White blood cells (WBC) decreased at the immediately post-test significantly and recovered almost completely after the 1h test. Neutrophil increased significantiy at the post-1h-test time. Monocytes decreased significantly after the test. Conclusions: RBC, Hb, MCH, MCHC, PLT, Monocytes decreased at the immediately post-test with hyperbaric endurance test and these parameters partially recovered at post-1h-test. WBC decreased at the immediately post-test time, recovered at the post-1h-test. MCV, Neutrophil increased after testing.
