Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess and classify the nutritional status of children in 3 preschools at the Vinh city. The study was conducted on 1.152 children aged 3-5 in 3 preschools: Ben Thuy, Quang Trung and Nghi Kim. The results showed that the rate of stunting malnutrition, underweight malnutrition and skinny malnutrition were 17,97%, 14,58% and 2,86%, respectively in Nghi Kim preschool; 10,94%, 8,59% and 1,04% in Ben Thuy preschool; and 10,16%, 8,07% and 0,78% in Quang Trung preschool. The rate of overweight and obesity in Quang Trung, Ben Thuy and Nghi Kim preschools were 9,37%, 8,85% and 2,86%, respectively.
