Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of Kien Luc tablets on general conditions and hematological profile in experimental animals following repeated usage. Methods: Healthy Wistar rats were given Kien Luc at doses of 1.8 tablets/kg/day and 5.4 tablets/kg/day for 8 consecutive weeks. General conditions and body weight were monitored weekly. Blood samples were analyzed for hematological parameters before treatment, after four-week, and eight-week treatment. Results: Data showed that Kien Luc tablets at both tested doses did not have negative effects on general conditions and body weight gain, and did not lead to significant changes in hematological parameters (white blood cell, red blood cell, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, platelets) in rats. Conclusion: From these results, conclusions can be drawn about the safety of Kien Luc tablets for general health and hematopoietic function.
